We are two guys, Marco Grizelj and Kristian Krän, creating photography together under the name AORTA since 1996, .
Our collaboration started while studying at the School of Photography at Gothenburg University.

We graduated in 1998 and the following four years we worked almost exclusively for the Gothenburg City Theatre. During a part of that period, we were based in Paris. Aorta’s signature work is semi-documentary fashion photography, where their work is both inartificial and imaginative. The duo likes to see things cinematically and their photographs are often shot on location. They enjoy entering the idea process at an early stage and they prefer to do their own retouching.

We are currently based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

If you would like to work with us please get in touch with Sandra Lautala, she works as our representative at the agency LundLund. She can also arrange for a physical portfolio to be sent to you.

During the years we have had the pleasure to work for brands such as Harvey Nichols, IKEA, Panasonic, Tuborg, Absolut Vodka, American Movie Channel, McDonalds, History Channel, Volvo Trucks, Renault, Vattenfall, Telia, Tele 2, SFR, Monki, McCulloch, Star Alliance, Finnair, Fortum and SAS.

Editorial assignments have come from Elle, Wired, Time, GQ, Kid's wear, 125, Schön, Bon, Café and NK Stil.
